Great post Stephen -- truly great! There are millions of people having their energy drained daily by a cultural commitment to meritocracy...

Greatness and bold action live with solopreners and small organizations... which may be why I am drawn to put my energy there...

Often, bucking mediocrity and inertia has been the most difficult part of inspiring people to act. Working with public employees, there is some sense of entitlement on their part to maintain the status quo. Only with the stress of economic survival has there been interest in satisfying customers needs. Sometimes the kind and thoughtfull approach is an inferior solution.

I so enjoy your work.

I have learned that it is one thing to withhold truth and lies from our family and friends, but to withhold potential and greatness from ourselves, is to withhold life and possibility from the world around us.

And how very sad of a fate that would prove to be, with a countless number of victims: all victims of the ultimate withholding... the withholding of love.

Instead, I'm gonna rock it like Oprah.

Thanks for the rock.
